Water is the most abundant compound in nature and covers nearly three-quarter of the Earth’s surface. it exists in all three states of matter, it means solid ice, liquid and water vapour(gas). Water is odorless, colorless and tasteless liquid. it is a universal solvent and has good thermal properties (it is a good thermal regulator). Pure water boils at 100⁰C (373k) at normal atmospheric pressure, freezes at 0⁰C (273K) and has a density of 1g/cm³. Distilled water is almost pure water. clean water is that which is ideal for home or domestic use i.e. safe for drinking, cooking and other home uses.
