Rwanda FDA advises the Buyers about Processed Products

Rwanda food and drug Authority is responsible for regulating medical products, processed foods, household products, and tobacco and tobacco products to ensure their quality and safety so as to protect the population of Rwanda from defective, falsified and substandard products.

On the official Twitter, Rwanda food and drug authority (Rwanda FDA) states that before buying processed food it is better to check whether the labels indicates the below labeling requirement to determine whether or not they are safe for human consumption

· The name of product

· Name and address of the manufacturer

· Batch number

· Expiry date

· Date of manufacture

· Net content

· List of ingredients

· Nutritional information

· Recommended storage condition
