Workshop organized in partnership with GSK and royal society of chemist

This is one week practical workshop organized in partnership with GSK and royal society of chemist to amplify the ability of African scientist in modern analytical technique, to solve local challenges and contribute to global scientific knowledge.

LCMS is applied in many industries such as pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, forensic, industrial, food and environmental sector therefore the people from those area are encouraged to apply.  The training session will be take place at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Nairobi, Kenya from 22nd to 26th August 2022. Then different knowledge will be shared including

ü  Method development,

ü  Quantitative analysis,

ü   Spectral interpretation of LC-MS.

Travel costs and accommodation will be provided for all delegates, including food.  All delegates and trainers will be staying in a guest house close to the University. 

Acceptance criteria:

Places are limited to 15 delegates only and the applicant should

ü  Be from across sub-Saharan Africa

ü  Have HND or BSc (or equivalent) in the chemical sciences,

ü  Show Potential impact upon the individual’s experience and career prospects

ü  Have Immediate application of the techniques learnt

ü  Have Access to equipment in his/her  home country
