The role of toothpaste is to clean the surface of teeth and keep them shiny, to preserve the health of the teeth and gums, as well as to prevent/reduce the incidence of oral dental diseases like caries, gingivitis or periodontal diseases.

of teeth clean and in good health is essential and also important for everyone.
This can be achieved by using various dental care preparation but tooth pastes
are most popular, valuable and widely used preparation. The role of toothpaste
is to clean the surface of teeth and keep them shiny, to preserve the health of
the teeth and gums, as well as to prevent/reduce the incidence of oral dental
diseases like caries, gingivitis or periodontal diseases. It also inhibits the
formation of unpleasant odor and freshen the breath by preventing the settling
of the bacteria and the entrapment of food. now, to get on the benefits mentioned
above, a tooth paste should be of good quality indicated with following
characters:
(1) It must clean the dental surface properly
without any scratches.
(2)
Softness should be such that it can be easily squeezed out of the tube to
spread on the brush, but should not sink into the brush.
(3) It should not cause injury to the teeth, gums, and mucous membrane of the mouth or the body in general.

The toothpaste shall not show any physical sign of deterioration during normal
conditions of storage and use

It should not dry, at least not quickly.

It should not be toxic and should not sensitize buccal membrane.

A
toothpaste shall not contain mono or disaccharides, for example, sucrose or
other readily fermentable carbohydrates.

It should not interact with the container material.
